How do I book a reservation to come to Namotu?

We do all of our booking through Waterways Surf Travel. You can contact them by phone, fax or email for available dates. What is included in a weekly package price?

Included in package price: Round trip economy class airfare from Los Angeles to Nadi, Fiji. 7 nights air conditioned accommodations (Saturday to Saturday), 3 meals daily, boat transfers to surf breaks, transportation to/from Namotu by boat, use of resort facilities, hotel, airline, and departure taxes. 
Bar tab, boutique purchases, massage, internet and scuba are all available at extra cost.

What is the weather like?

Namotu gets surf year around. The Fiji Islands enjoys a tropical climate, with average temperatures in the winter months of about 84'F or 29'C and in the summer months of about 88'F or 31'C. 

How many guests can come each week?

Namotu Island can accommodate 24 guests each week. 

What do I need to bring?

Sun protection is key – so a hat, sunglasses and sun screen are necessary and useful to bring. Beach towel, reef shoes, rash guard, and a light board bag for transporting your board safely in the boat can also be useful. We have a small infirmary on the island, and our boutique carries basic first aid and personal supplies.

I don't surf – what can I do?

Namotu Island is a Water Sports Resort so we offer a variety of activities including fishing, sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding and snorkeling. But if the only type of activity you enjoy is a good book, some beach combing and a Mai Tai – then we cater to that as well. We also offer a full service boutique for souvenir shopping, and sundries you could have forgotten at home. 

Do I need to exchange money before coming?

You can exchange your currency to Fiji dollars at Nadi airport while waiting for your luggage. You can use your Fiji cash for gratuities or shopping in the local villages. On the island we prefer Visa & Mastercard.

Are there surf guides in the water?

Safety is of paramount importance to our valued guests. We have fully qualified and experienced surf guides. Each boat has a licensed driver, life jackets, first aid and a radio. The boat moors near by each surf spot. 

Is tipping the staff allowed? 

We ask that you tip into the staff tip box & the money is distributed evenly to all of our staff as a holiday fund.

Can the Namotu dining room accommodate all dietary requirements?

Yes, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs. 

Are children welcome? 

If you book the whole island, yes.
If not children must be over 12 yrs.

Can I call home? 

A public phone is situated in the games bure, calling cards can be purchased at reception and billed to your bure. AT&T, MCI, Sprint calling cards accepted.

We also have cordless phones for use - with the purchase of a calling card. These phones are available at the office.

Most smartphones receive international reception here on the island.

Is there Internet available on the island?

Wifi access is available in the bar, on the deck and at the villa for $50 US unlimited use per week. We do have a computer in the office available for guest use. 

What is your cancellation policy? 

Initial deposit of $250USD is non refundable and non transferable. 
If cancellation is within:
31-59 days prior to departure -50% cancellation applies (total cost of trip)
00-30 days prior to departure – 100% Penalty (no Refund) 

Does Namotu have a dress code? 

Dress code is Comfortable..
Namotu island sulus (similar to sarong), dresses and t-shirts available for purchases at the boutique.

Do I need adapters to plug in my camera battery? 

Our main source of power is 240V from generators. Please ask reception when plugging in any device you might not be certain of. The office has a 110 volt converter for charging camera equipment. 

Music?

Please bring your IPod which you can also plug directly into our rockin' sound system for all to enjoy.
