How do I book a reservation to come to Namotu?
We do all of our booking through Waterways Surf Adventures. You can contact them by phone, fax or email for available dates. (sara@waterwaystravel.com)

Is everything included in my booking fee?
Included in package price: Round trip economy class airfare from Los Angeles to Nadi, Fiji. 7 nights air conditioned accommodations (Saturday to Saturday), 3 meals daily, boat transfers to surf breaks, transportation to/from Namotu by boat, use of resort facilities, hotel, airline, and departure taxes.
Not includes: taxi transfer between airport and Namotu jetty (pre-arranged, please pay driver directly), anything that you order from the Namotu bar.
Please call Sara at Waterways if your journey to Namotu begins outside the USA.

What is the best time of year?
Namotu gets surf year around. The Fiji Islands enjoys a tropical climate, with average temperatures in the winter months of about 84 ' F or 29'C and in the summer months of about 88'F or 31'C.

How many guests can come each week?
Namotu Island can accommodate between 22 and 28 number of guests each week.

What do I need to bring?
Sun protection is key – so a hat, sunglasses and sun screen are necessary and useful to bring. Surfboard, beach towel, reef shoes, rash guard, first aid kit (ie Iodine (for reef cuts), Advil, Sudafed, Benedyrl, bandaids, and ear drops). The island only carries enough for the staff.

I don't surf – what can I do?
Namotu Island is a Water Sports Resort so we offer a variety of activities including fishing, sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding and snorkeling. But if the only type of activity you enjoy is a good book, some beach combing and a Mai Tai – then we cater to that as well. We also offer a full service boutique for souvenier shopping, and sundries you could have forgotten at home.

Do I need to exchange money before coming?
No need – we accept most major credit cards and the US dollar. Prefer Visa & Mastercard.

Are there lifeguards in the water?
There are experienced lifeguards in the water with you at all times. Each boat has a driver and a radio that anchors near by each surf spot.

Is tipping the staff allowed?
We ask that you tip into the staff tip box & the money is spread out to all of our good employees as a holiday fund.

Can the Namotu chef accommodate all dietry requirements
Yes, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Are children welcome?
If you book the whole island, yes.
If not children must be over 12 yrs.

Can I call home?
A public phone is situated in the games bure, calling cards can be purchased at reception and billed to your bure. AT&T, MCI, Sprint calling cards accepted.
Internet access is available in the office from 10-10:30am, 1-2pm, after 5pm, and is $1.00 per minute. You'll need to have your own email account such as yahoo, hotmail, aol, cox, or anyone with worldwide access. They use new high speed DSL.
Fax charges $10 per page to send, $3 for every 3rd page and ongoing, $3 a page every receiving page fax.

What is your cancellation policy?
Initial deposit of $250usd is non refundable and non transferable.
If cancellation is within:
31-59 days prior to departure -50% cancellation applies (total cost of trip)
00-30 days prior to departure – 100% Penalty (no Refund)

Does Namotu have a dress code?
Dress code is Comfortable..
Namotu island sulus (similar to sarong), dresses and t-shirts available for purchases at the boutique.

Do I need adapters to plug in my camera battery?
Our main source of power is from generator and solar panels. Power stored in a battery bank is converted to 240 voltage. It is important to turn lights out during the day. Please ask reception when plugging in any device as the wrong device could destroy our power systems. The office has a 110 volt converter for charging camera equipment.
