The Fiji Pro is coming home to Cloudbreak

After 7 years away, the WSL’s Fiji Pro is coming back in 2024

Big news landed today and there’s excitement in the water already. The wave pool is out and Cloudbreak is in. It’s been too long since Matt Wilkinson won in 2017 and even longer since Parko missed his heat to go fishing and got a little stranded… They were good times and it wasn’t just the surfing that was an annual highlight in the series. So you’re probably wondering if the competitors will be staying on Namotu and Tavarua as they did in years past…

Unfortunately not, we have Unlimited Weeks scheduled for that period so they’ll be staying on the mainland. That’ll no doubt mean there are less rude haircuts and skulldrags on lay days. Regardless, the return of the WSL is a great thing for Fiji and we’re looking forward to watching it from the channel again. We’re also excited to see Brisa Hennessy get the chance to compete at her local break. She’s been here training for her return to the tour these past few weeks. We also hear that Wilko is planning a cameo appearance so watch this space…

A big congratulations to Tourism Fiji’s Brent Hill for pulling it off and we’re stoked to see our favourite event back on the calendar. And no, you can’t come sleep on the floor.
